Gameplay development in Unreal Engine
We design and develop game mechanics and systems in Unreal Engine, for studios and teams that want solid gameplay without slowing production down.
Our gameplay is optimized, in C++ and in Blueprint, it is data-driven and it is built for designers: the people who design the game change it and balance it on their own.
Optimized, in C++ and in Blueprint
We write in C++ the systems that weigh on performance and keep in Blueprint what has to change quickly. Every system is built with its cost per frame in mind, not only the result on screen.
Data-driven
Game values live in data, not in code: Data Assets and Data Tables describe abilities, enemies, items and rules. To balance or add content you change a value, without recompiling and without touching the logic.
Built for designers
We expose to designers only what they need, with clear parameters and readable names. A designer creates a variant, tests it and fixes it alone in the editor, without waiting for a programmer.
What we can do for your game
We work on a single system or on the whole gameplay, on a new project or on one already under way.
- Game mechanics and systems: characters, abilities, combat, interactions
- Gameplay architecture in C++, exposed to Blueprint where needed
- Tools and data ready for designers
- Review and optimization of existing gameplay
- Conversion to C++ of the Blueprints that weigh on performance
Unreal Engine co-development and contract work for game studios
We work as an external gameplay team for game studios and publishers: co-development, work-for-hire or contract work on a defined scope. We join your project the way an in-house programmer would, in your Perforce or Git repository, following your coding standards and your review process, so our work lands in your build.
The code we write for your project and its IP are yours, we work under NDA, and you talk directly to the people who write the code.
