Which data we process and why
Visiting the website
When you open a page, your browser sends some technical data to the server: IP address, browser and operating system, requested page, date and time. We need it to show you the website and to protect it from abuse.
- Provider: Microsoft (Azure Static Web Apps), which hosts the website. Pages may be delivered by Microsoft’s global network; the part that handles the contact form runs in Western Europe.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working and secure website.
- Retention: for Microsoft’s technical periods; we do not build visitor profiles from this data.
Contact form
If you write to us through the form, we process your name, email address, message, language and the page you write from, in order to reply.
- How it works: the form goes through a function of our hosting (Microsoft Azure), which does not store the data and forwards it as an email to our mailbox, run by Hostinger International Ltd. (Larnaca, Cyprus, in the European Union).
- Legal basis: your request and our legitimate interest in replying; if the request is about a project, pre-contractual measures.
- Retention: as long as needed to handle the request and any collaboration that follows.
The same applies if you email us directly.
Statistics (Google Analytics)
Only if you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the website is used: pages visited, visit length, device and browser type, approximate location (city or region). We do not use this data for advertising or profiling.
- Provider: Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC (United States).
- Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time from “Cookie Settings” at the bottom of every page.
- IP address: Google Analytics 4 does not log it.
- Retention: 14 months at most.
- Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded and your browser does not contact Google’s servers.
YouTube videos
Some articles may contain YouTube videos. A video is loaded only when you press its play button: from then on YouTube (Google Ireland Limited) receives data such as your IP address and may store cookies or similar data in your browser. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
- Legal basis: your consent, given by starting the video.
